Greg Price established Jump Tours in 2007 with one van and a vision of creating an affordable way for backpackers and budget travellers to see Tasmania. For a long time young travellers who wanted to see Tasmania had some pretty hopeless options to choose from - an overpriced tour, expensive surcharges for car hire or paying for a ferry to bring their car over from Victoria - Jump changed all that.

In 2009 Jump Tours was described in Lonely Planet’s Australia Guidebook as “a cheeky start-up making a big impression on the backpacker scene to rave reviews”. In 2011 we were stoked to be named the Best Tour/Activity in Tasmania at the TNT Magazine Golden Backpack Awards - the only Australia wide tourism awards decided solely by the votes of young travellers!

Here at Jump we’re proud of what we’ve achieved in our short history and are excited about the future as we continue to find new ways to make backpacking in Tasmania more affordable for people across the world.
